How do I freeze my screen?
BenQ – You can Freeze the image on the screen by pressing the Freeze button on your BenQ remote.
SMART – You can Freeze the image on the screen by pressing the ‘Freeze’ button on your remote or you can press the ‘Pause’ button located on the front bezel of the screen.
Clevertouch – You can Freeze the image on the screen by pressing the Blue button on your Clevertouch remote.
My Clevertouch screen is locked?
The Clevertouch screen can be locked from the remote. To Lock/Unlock the screen please press the Red button on your Clevertouch Remote.
If it is still saying ‘Locked’ on the screen, please press the yellow button on the Clevertouch remote and make sure that this says ‘Unlocked’ as well.
PC won’t display on touchscreen, black screen or ‘No Signal’
If the touchscreen is just showing a black screen, first check you are on the right display mode. On your keyboard press and hold the windows key (bottom left) and then press the letter ‘P’, it should now bring up some options, set it to ‘duplicate’.
If it is saying ‘No Signal’ on the screen, check you are on the correct source on the screen. Then check the correct cable is connected to your PC i.e., HDMI is plugged into your PC as well as being plugged into the bottom of the faceplate on the wall (Make sure cables are plugged in tightly).
If still not working, you can try plugging the HDMI directly from your PC into the Touchscreen (plug into HDMI 1) to see if this works. Please contact support either way as we may need to arrange a support visit.
I’ve knocked my screen now it won’t work
Check to see if any cables have come loose and check power supply, if everything is plugged in correctly and you have no power light showing please give our support a call so we can investigate this further.
The image is stretched & part of it is off the screen
To change this, go to the desktop and right click anywhere to bring down the drop-down menu, then click ‘Screen Resolution’ and where it says ‘Resolution’ just click on this and play around with different sizes to see which one fits/solves the issue, try changing this to a lower resolution such as 1280×720 to see if the stretched image is fixed.
You could also check to see if the screen is set to full screen, to check this right click the desktop and click ‘Graphics Properties’ (If an Intel laptop may appear different for other style laptops/pc’s) and click Display > General Settings. Then at the bottom of the options there should be ‘Scaling’ and make sure this is set to scaling full screen.
There are two black bands down the side of my screen
This could be down to the PC being on the wrong display mode. On your keyboard press and hold the windows key (bottom left) and then press the letter ‘P’, it should now bring up some options, set it to ‘duplicate’.
Another thing to check would be screen resolution, to change this, go to the desktop and right click anywhere to bring down the drop-down menu, then click ‘Screen Resolution’ or ‘Display’. Typically, most monitors are 1920×1080, but this will depend on what monitor/laptop you have. You may need to play around with different sizes to see which one fits/solves the issue.
No touch on my screen
If you are using a Clevertouch, please ensure the touch hasn’t been turned off from the remote. To check this, please press the Yellow button on your Clevertouch remote to turn the interactivity On/Off (It will display Locked/Unlocked on the screen).
The USB cable that provides the touch must be plugged in. If it is then please make sure it is connected properly into the faceplate, computer and screen. If the problem persists, try connecting the USB touch cable directly to the screen bypassing the faceplate.
No sound from the screen
Firstly, check all cables, if you are using the HDMI cable you do not need the audio jack plugged in. Plugging in both will cause audio issues. If the cables are plugged in properly, check to see if the volume on the screen is turned up fully and not on mute. Also, make sure the speaker on the laptop/pc is not on mute and is also turned up fully.
It is also worth checking in control panel > sound and making sure the Touchscreen is selected for the audio output rather than the built-in audio for your laptop/computer.
Image keeps freezing
This could be down to your computer struggling to duplicate both its image on the PC and onto the Touchscreen. Try closing down some heavy resourceful programs (Like if you have loads of tabs open on your browser) to see if it improves. Please report to your IT provider and ask them to contact us if needed.
