To celebrate us turning 15 this year we reached out to some of our customers who have worked with us since the very beginning back in 2004 as we wanted to get their perspective on why they have used us as their preferred audio visual supplier for all of this time.

Huntingdon Primary School based in Cambridgeshire is made up of nearly 500 pupils and is rated as good with areas of Outstanding by Ofsted. The school considers itself to be a large, friendly school with a strong team spirit

Huntingdon Primary School originally began working with Proactive after requesting three quotes from three different audio visual suppliers and happened to find similar pricing across the three. However, the school decided to go with Proactive based on the following:

Originally the school had Smartboard interactive whiteboards with ceiling mounted projectors throughout the school, however the time came in 2015 when the school decided it was time to upgrade to interactive touchscreens in each of their classrooms. Following numerous conversations and discussions with Proactive the school decided that the best fit for their needs would be the Clevertouch screen due to the software and the general functionality of the screens.

The school had their first 65” Clevertouch screen installed in March 2015 and continued to stagger this until all 17 classrooms had their own Clevertouch screen installed. As part of the Proactive offering free training is included for schools as standard when you purchase a touchscreen, as we want to ensure the school is getting the full benefit out of the equipment they have bought. Huntingdon Primary had training sessions which 17 members of staff attended to learn their way around the screen and how they can make the most of the included software such as Snowflake and Lynx.

The school also has a Clevertouch screen in one of their halls known as the ‘Pink Hall’ which is 84” and on a mobile trolley so can be moved easily around the hall or transported to other parts of the school with ease.

The most recent install we completed at the school was a Hall Audio Solution for their sound system in the main hall of the school which is often used for assemblies and productions.

We spoke with the IT Manager at the school Mr Henderson, who had this to say about working with us:

      We like and use Proactive for several reasons – The installation team are always brilliant, doing nice neat installs, tidying up after themselves, and making good decisions when left to their own devices (Like siting the screen at the right height for the children that use the room to be able to reach it, having the connection box in the right place – even if that place is on the opposite side of the room to the screen etc). The after sales service is great too.

Although it’s sometimes possible to shave a few pounds of the cost of the order by shopping around, the overall value is much higher with Proactive.
